Peningkatan Produksi Perekatan Lapisan Serat Fiber untuk Pembuatan Joran Pancing Menggunakan Mesin Monokork Rolling
Abstract
Pada industri manufaktur sebuah joran pancing berbahan fiber, proses awal yang dilakukan adalah perekatan lapisan serat fiber pada mandrel. Proses perekatan lapisan serat fiber ini masih dilakukan secara manual, yaitu operator yang meletakkan lapisan serat fiber ke mandrel dan merekatkannya menggunakan setrika (iron). Berdasarkan data produksi, hasil produksi tidak mencapai target output dan tingkat kecacatan produk yang terjadi sangat tinggi dikarenakan kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh operator. Hal ini memiliki dampak besar terhadap produktivitas yaitu kecacatan pada produk, rendahnya efektivitas proses produksi, dan waktu produksi yang kurang efisien. Peningkatan produktivitas dalam proses produksi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan mesin berbasis Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) yang dapat mengontrol aktuator seperti pneumatik dan motor servo secara otomatis serta menggunakan media kontrol Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Dari segi produktivitas, proses produksi yang dilakukan menggunakan mesin dapat mengurangi cycle time proses produksi sebesar 105 detik dan menurunkan jumlah cacat produk yang dihasilkan sebesar 15,76% sehingga meningkatkan output produksi sebesar 33%.
