Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is an essential part of quality control that plays a role in verifying that a material is in good condition and suitable for use. One of the most widely applied NDT methods is Ultrasonic Testing (UT), a versatile inspection technique that can be used on a wide range of products. This study aims to apply the Ultrasonic Testing (UT) method based on the ISO 7963:2022 calibration block standard to detect and identify the presence of lamination defects in materials and to evaluate its reliability in the inspection process. The probe used in this study was a normal probe (straight beam probe) with a frequency range of 1 to 6 MHz. The testing procedure was carried out in accordance with ISO 16810, while the calibration method followed the requirements specified in ISO 7963:2022.Based on the testing conducted in accordance with the ISO 7963:2022 standard, several defect indications were detected at depths ranging from 14.7 mm to 15.05 mm, with a minimum amplitude of ≥ 40% Full Screen Height (FSH). Overall, the test results showed a UT equipment deviation of only 0.1%, indicating that the method provides excellent accuracy and can be reliably applied in material inspection processes.
