JATRA (Jurnal Teknologi dan Riset Terapan) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal recognizes that corrections or retractions may be necessary when errors or serious concerns are identified in published articles.
All decisions concerning corrections and retractions will be made by the editorial team based on the available evidence, the nature of the issue, and recognized publication ethics principles.
A correction may be published when an error in a published article affects the accuracy or clarity of the publication but does not invalidate its overall findings or conclusions.
Corrections may address errors in data presentation, figures, tables, author information, affiliations, or other relevant content.
Authors who identify an error in their published article should notify the editorial office promptly. Readers may also report suspected errors for editorial assessment.
The editorial team will evaluate the issue and determine whether a formal correction notice is necessary. Published correction notices will identify the affected article and clearly describe the correction made.
A retraction may be considered when the findings or conclusions of a published article are unreliable or when serious publication ethics violations have occurred.
Grounds for retraction may include, but are not limited to:
Retraction is intended to correct the scholarly record and inform readers about unreliable research, rather than to punish authors.
When potential grounds for retraction are identified, the editorial team will assess the available evidence and may request explanations from the authors or other relevant parties.
Authors will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond. Where appropriate, the journal may consult the authors' affiliated institutions or other relevant bodies.
The Editor-in-Chief will make the final editorial decision, taking into account the evidence, the seriousness of the issue, and any relevant conflicts of interest.
A retraction notice will clearly identify the affected article, state the reason for retraction, and explain the basis for the decision in objective and factual language.
The notice will be linked to the original article and made freely accessible. The original article will ordinarily remain available in the journal archive with a clear retraction notice or status label, preserving the transparency of the scholarly record.
If there are credible concerns about a published article but the available evidence is inconclusive, the journal may publish an expression of concern while further clarification or investigation is pursued.
The journal may subsequently issue a correction, retract the article, or take no further action, depending on the outcome.
Authors may submit a reasoned appeal against an editorial decision concerning correction or retraction. Appeals will be considered by the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate independent editor, provided that no conflict of interest exists.
JATRA will communicate decisions to the relevant parties and maintain appropriate records of the assessment and actions taken.
JATRA's correction and retraction procedures are informed by the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other recognized publication ethics principles.
For reports or questions concerning errors in published articles, please contact the JATRA editorial office through the official contact details provided on the journal website.
