Authorship Criteria

JATRA (Jurnal Teknologi dan Riset Terapan) is committed to maintaining ethical standards in scientific publishing. Authorship is based on each individual's contribution to the research and manuscript, in accordance with recognized publication ethics principles.

1. Criteria for Authorship

Based on the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), all authors must meet the following four criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the research design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation.
  2. Participate in writing the manuscript or critically revising its intellectual content.
  3. Approve the final version of the manuscript.
  4. Accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the work.

Individuals who do not meet all four criteria should not be listed as authors.

2. Author Contributions

Authors must clearly describe their contributions to the research and manuscript. JATRA encourages the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to identify individual contributions. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all contribution statements are accurate and approved by all authors.

3. Author Order and Corresponding Author

The author order should be agreed upon by all authors based on their contributions. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office and must ensure that all authors approve the manuscript and author information before submission.

Academic position, supervision, or funding support alone does not qualify an individual for authorship.

4. Non-Author Contributions

Individuals who provide funding, facilities, administrative support, routine technical assistance, or language editing alone do not qualify for authorship. Their contributions may be acknowledged in the manuscript with their permission.

JATRA does not permit guest, gift, honorary, or ghost authorship.

5. Changes in Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must include a clear explanation and written agreement from all authors concerned. The editorial office may suspend the review process while the request is being considered.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their manuscripts, including content generated or assisted by AI. Any use of AI must be disclosed in accordance with JATRA's applicable policy.

7. Ethical Responsibility

By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author confirms that the author list, author order, and contribution statements are accurate and approved by all authors. Authorship disputes and suspected ethical violations will be handled in accordance with JATRA's publication ethics policies and relevant publication ethics guidance.
