Focus and Scoupe

The Journal of Applied Informatics and Computing (JAIC) publishes original research articles and review papers that contribute to the advancement of applied informatics, computing, and related fields.

JAIC welcomes manuscripts presenting fundamental and applied research, theoretical developments, methodological innovations, experimental studies, and practical applications. Submissions should demonstrate scientific rigor, clear research objectives, appropriate methodologies, and meaningful contributions to the relevant field. Originality, relevance, and a compelling justification of the research problem are essential considerations in the editorial evaluation process.

Manuscripts submitted to JAIC must be original, must not have been published previously in substantially the same form, and must not be under consideration for publication by another journal or conference proceeding at the same time.

The journal covers a broad spectrum of applied informatics and computing, including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Applied Informatics: Information systems, data management, business intelligence, decision support systems, and information technology applications.

  • Applied Computing: Software engineering, computational methods, intelligent systems, computer applications, and emerging computing technologies.

  • Applied Mathematics: Mathematical modeling, numerical methods, optimization, statistical computing, and mathematical approaches to computational problems.

  • Applied Network Computing: Computer networks, distributed systems, cloud computing, edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and network performance optimization.

  • Applied Cybersecurity: Information security, network security, cryptography, intrusion detection, privacy protection, and cybersecurity applications.

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Machine learning, deep learning, data mining, natural language processing, computer vision, and AI-based applications.

  • Data Science and Analytics: Big data analytics, predictive modeling, data visualization, and data-driven decision support.

  • Human–Computer Interaction and Multimedia Computing: User interface design, usability evaluation, multimedia systems, and interactive computing applications.

JAIC encourages interdisciplinary research that applies informatics and computing methods to address practical problems in industry, education, business, public services, and other relevant sectors.

All submissions are subject to editorial screening and peer review. Acceptance depends on the manuscript's originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal's focus and scope, and contribution to the field.
