Author Guidelines
Paper Review Process
All papers submitted to JAMA undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by qualified researchers and experts in the field. Each manuscript is reviewed by independent reviewers whose recommendations will determine the outcome of the submission:
- Accepted
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Requires resubmission with significant revisions
- Rejected
The review process typically takes between 1 to 3 months. All submissions are subject to review, and the Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject any manuscript, whether solicited or unsolicited, and to request revisions or modifications before publication.
Initial Paper Submission
Authors are invited to submit original research articles presenting unpublished experimental or theoretical results. All manuscripts must adhere to the formatting guidelines of JAMA and will undergo both review and editorial processes.
Submission Guidelines
Authors submitting papers for publication in JAMA must prepare their manuscripts in an editable Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). All tables, figures, and images should be embedded within the document. Detailed instructions and formatting requirements are available in the JAMA Paper Template.
Prospective authors are encouraged to consult the scope of JAMA to ensure their work aligns with the journal's focus. By submitting a manuscript, the authors agree to the terms outlined in the Journal’s Honor Code and Plagiarism Statement, confirming that the work is an original research contribution with all references properly cited.
