The Journal of Logistics and International Trade (JLIT) welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions from researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and professionals worldwide. Authors are encouraged to carefully read and comply with the following guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.
Submitted manuscripts must fall within the Focus and scope of JLIT. Manuscripts outside the journal's scope will not be considered for publication.
JLIT accepts Original Research Articles, Conceptual Papers, Case Studies, and Policy Analysis Papers. Submitted manuscripts must be original works, must not have been published previously, must not be under consideration by another journal, and must comply with the journal's Publication Ethics. All submissions will undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin and/or iThenticate. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding the bibliography, or an equivalent standard as determined by the Editorial Office.
All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited before submission. A Grammarly score of at least 80% or an equivalent standard.
Authors must prepare manuscripts using the official JLIT Manuscript Template. JLIT provides two manuscript templates: one for quantitative research and one for qualitative research. Authors conducting mixed methods research may use either template, selecting the one that best fits their manuscript and requires the fewest modifications.
Manuscripts should be 15–18 pages in length, including the reference list. The manuscript must be prepared using Times New Roman, 12-point font, and 1.5-line spacing on A4-sized paper with 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides.
The manuscript should generally include the following sections: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review (if applicable), Research Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Implications, Limitations and Future Research, Acknowledgments (optional), Funding Information (if applicable), References, and Appendix. The Appendix should be included at the end of the manuscript and contain either a Data Availability Statement or a link to supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, questionnaires, interview guides, coding schemes, or additional tables and figures).
Author information, as specified in the manuscript template, should be omitted from the anonymous manuscript during submission and added only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. Authors who are not affiliated with any university, research institution, government agency, or company at the time of manuscript submission may list their affiliation as "Independent Researcher", followed by their city and country. Authors must not claim an institutional affiliation unless they are officially affiliated with that institution at the time the research was conducted or the manuscript was submitted.
JLIT encourages international collaboration and welcomes manuscripts co-authored by researchers from different countries or institutions. Eligible internationally collaborative manuscripts may receive priority in editorial processing and may qualify for an Article Processing Charge (APC) waiver in accordance with the journal's current APC policy. International collaboration does not guarantee acceptance. All manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic quality, originality, relevance to the journal's scope, and the results of the peer-review process.
The manuscript must include two abstracts, one in English and one in Indonesian. International authors who are not proficient in Indonesian may use Google Translate or equivalent translation tools to prepare the Indonesian abstract. The journal's copyediting team will review and improve the language of the Indonesian abstract prior to publication.
The abstract should contain 150–250 words, clearly state the research objective, methodology, key findings, and contribution or implications, and avoid citations and abbreviations whenever possible. Authors should provide 3–5 keywords/keyphrases immediately after the abstract.
All references cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references in the reference list must be cited in the text. JLIT requires authors to use APA Style (7th Edition) consistently for both in-text citations and the reference list. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, or equivalent software is mandatory to ensure consistency and accuracy of citations.
The reference list should be formatted using Times New Roman, 12-point font, single spacing, and arranged alphabetically by the first author's surname. To ensure the quality and relevance of published articles, manuscripts submitted to JLIT must comply with the following requirements:
Failure to comply with these reference requirements may result in the manuscript being returned to the authors for revision prior to peer review.
Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively, include descriptive titles, be cited in the text, and be of publication quality, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and a maximum width of 17 cm. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials where necessary.

JLIT applies a double-blind peer review process. Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts through two or more rounds of revision before a final decision is reached.
Authors must comply with the journal's Publication Ethics. Any form of plagiarism, duplicate submission, data fabrication, or falsification is strictly prohibited. Editorial decisions are based on both the similarity report and the nature of the overlapping text.
Authors retain the copyright of their published work, as specified in Copyright & License. Upon acceptance, authors are required to agree to publish their articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, unless otherwise specified by the journal.
JLIT currently does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs). Authors are not required to pay submission, processing, or publication fees. Any future changes to the APC policy will be announced on the journal's website. Editorial decisions are made solely on scientific merit and are independent of an author's ability to pay publication fees.
Following acceptance, authors are required to submit any revised files requested by the Editorial Office and review page proofs carefully before publication. Only manuscripts that have fulfilled all editorial will proceed to publication.
