How to Write
GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING A JAEE ARTICLE
Abstract—These instructions give you guidelines for preparing papers for the Journal of Applied Electrical Engineering (JAEE). Use this document as a template if you are using Microsoft Word.
Articles should be in English. Paper titles should be written in uppercase and lowercase letters, not all uppercase. Avoid writing long formulas with subscripts in the title; short formulas that identify the elements are fine (e.g., "Nd–Fe–B"). Full names of authors are preferred in the author field but are not required. The abstract must be written in one paragraph and a maximum of 150 words.
Introduction
This document is a template for Microsoft Word. The introduction contains information about the problem, reviewing the literature, research objectives, and the benefits obtained from the research results. The font used is Times New Roman, 10 pt, single space, with paragraphs aligned left and right (Justify). There is no space between paragraphs in one chapter. Between chapters can be given one space as in the example. The main body of the paper should be numbered in consecutive order as follows: I. Introduction, II. Method, III. Result and Discussion, IV. Conclusion, and References. You may present the result and discussion (analysis) as a separate sub-section. The Acknowledgment section is optional.
Method
Authors must provide a clear and reproducible description of all procedures conducted in the study. The Methods section should include the following components: Research Design; Experimental Setup or System Architecture; Materials, Instruments, and Software; Operational Parameters; Procedures and Protocols; Data Collection Methods; Data Processing and Analysis; Validation and Verification; Ethical and Safety Considerations; and Reproducibility and Data Availability.
Result and Discussion
Authors must present the findings of the study in a clear and logical manner. The Results and Discussion section should include the key experimental, analytical, or simulation outcomes supported by appropriate tables and figures, along with comparisons to existing studies or theoretical benchmarks. Authors should provide a technical interpretation of the results, explain their significance, evaluate system performance using relevant engineering metrics, and discuss any observable trends, anomalies, or unexpected behaviors. This section should also address the limitations of the study and highlight the practical and theoretical contributions of the findings to the field of electrical engineering.
Conclusion
A conclusion may review the main points of the paper, do not replicate the abstract as the conclusion. A conclusion might elaborate on the importance of the work or suggest applications and extensions. The conclusion is written in one paragraph. The conclusion contains research findings, research limitations, and recommendations for further research.
Acknowledgment
The preferred spelling of the word “acknowledgment” in American English is without an “e” after the “g.” Use the singular heading even if you have many acknowledgments. Avoid expressions such as “One of us (S.B.A.) would like to thank ... .” Instead, write “F. A. Author thanks ....” In most cases, sponsor and financial support acknowledgments are placed in the unnumbered footnote on the first page, not here.
Plagiarism
The general JAEE policy requires that authors should only submit original work that has neither appeared elsewhere for publication nor is under review for another refereed publication. The submitting author must disclose all prior publication(s) and current submissions when submitting a manuscript. The submitting author is responsible for obtaining agreements from all co-authors and any consent required from employers or sponsors before submitting an article. The JAEE strongly discourages courtesy authorship; it is the obligation of the authors to cite only relevant prior work. Please note that the article format and level of plagiarism (using iThenticate/iThScan/Turnitin) will be checked first by the Editorial Team. The maximum plagiarism that we can accept is about 10%.
References
The reference source written must be cited in the content. A minimum of fifteen article/journal references (excluding books, e-books, e-news, etc.) must be used for the last five years. We strongly recommend using reference management (Mendeley/Zotero). We use the IEEE style [1] as the reference format. Written in Times New Roman size 8pt.
